About the Event

Presented by Firebrand Resiliency Collective, RISE is an all-ages community-building event at Phoenix Industrial studios. The event celebrates the return of Spring and renews the call to action for community wildfire resilience, supporting meaningful connections and sustainability through music, education, resources, and play!

Activities at the main venue include a full music stage, kids’ activities, and resource and education booths hosted by more than a dozen awesome local organizations and agencies. We'll have activities from face painting to seed balls to mask-making to food trucks to Smoky Bear himself! We got your bike workshop, and a group bike ride from Ashland. We've got your fire engine spraying water and making rainbows, we got your tree plantings and youth choirs, and we even got your beer garden and food trucks and the brick oven magic of Clyde’s Corner.

This is a call out to community far and wide: Get on up (or get on down!) to Phoenix next month on May 4 and let's build some community and RISE together! More details below or at

We would love more volunteers at the event:

---- The Stage Hosts a Diverse Musical Lineup:

Alquimistas: This funky, Brazilian-infused big band takes audiences on a love-filled journey through afro-brazilian rhythms. (insta: @alquimistasband)

El Papachango: An Argentinian Dj with roots in the Rogue Valley, Papachango demonstrates a love of music from South America blended with West Coast underground beats to create a groove that is unique and infectious wherever he goes. (insta:@elpapachango)

The Rosa Lees: This high energy, all-female four piece Bluegrass band will get the crowd stomping! (insta: @the_rosa_lees)

Activities include: Smokey Bear, Group Bike Ride from Ashland along the Greenway, a Beer Garden hosted by Clyde’s Corner, Food Trucks, Tree Planting, the “Phoenix Citywide Yard Sale” Awards, Fire Engine, Giant Jenga, and many Kids’ Activities including Face Painting, a Bike Repair Workshop, and so much more!

Educational and Resource Booths include: Lomakatsi Restoration Project, KS Wild, OSU Extension Service, Pollinator Project Rogue Valley, Fire District 5, Oregon State Fire Marshal, First Phoenix Community Center, Southern Oregon Fire Ecology Education, and the JCC Long Term Recovery Group.

*Parking is limited, and a free shuttle service is provided along with a drop off/pick up area. We encourage attendees to ride or walk to the event using the Bear Creek Greenway!
